"No Transition"

Hagari: "There is No Transition Between the North of the Gaza Strip and the South"

The IDF spokesman noted that Israel will continue to exert pressure on the mediators in order to achieve the release of as many hostages as possible. Hagari emphasized that there is no passage between the north of the Gaza Strip and the south during the ceasefire.

The IDF spokesman commented in his daily review today (Sunday) on the return of the abductees this evening and on the continuation of the fighting.

At the beginning of his remarks, he mentioned the return of the abductees this evening from captivity in Gaza. "Today Chen Gal Tal Dafna Ella Alma Aviva Ron and Abigail returned home. 4-year-old Abigail Idan is an orphan whose parents were murdered by the cruel terrorist organization Hamas, she is a hero and she is proof that the war is justified like no other. Like Abigail, everyone has a family member who was murdered. Unbearable pain."

According to Hagari, "Alma was immediately taken to the hospital in serious condition while still in the Gaza Strip. The IDF force took some of them out of the Be'eri area in full coordination with the Egyptians. They arrived at the Hatzerim base and from there to the hospitals where their loved ones were waiting for them."

He also noted, "It's an exciting day, but we don't forget the rest of the abductees in Gaza. The work is still long until everyone returns home. This is the moral and ethical duty of the security forces. The IDF continues to prepare for the continuation of the war. The Chief of Staff arrived and confirmed that. Today it can be confirmed that 25 senior members of Hamas were killed in Gaza, they were involved in the core of terrorism in the State of Israel and on October 7. We are not indifferent.

"There is no transition between the north of the Gaza Strip and the south"

During the questioning phase, Hagari was asked, is Israel prepared to resume fighting after the deal, according to him, we are prepared for the continuation of fighting as well as re-equipment and reorganization. But as much as we can return abductees from captivity we will do so. The movement is from south to north, there are rules for a truce, the IDF is drawn up in the operational lines and there is no transition between north and south.

The IDF spokesman was also asked about the fact that the abductees were held in the north of the Gaza Strip. According to Hagari, "There is an IDF headquarters that is responsible for intelligence, that's how Ori Megidish was released, they hold onto the picture and try to improve it all the time. As long as we can bring home abductees from the north and the south, we will do it to the best of our ability, the IDF and the Mossad aim to bring home as many hostages as possible."

Another question referred to the separation of the kidnapped Hila from her mother. According to the IDF spokesman, "We are working against murderous terrorism that separated families like the orphaned girl Abigail from the cruel actions of Hamas. The mission is to return as many kidnapped people as possible, this is what we do all the time, all day, even with the middlemen. We will put pressure on the middlemen to reach the maximum number of abductees one way or another."

Regarding the publication of the agreements with Hamas and who is responsible for the terrorist organization signing these agreements, the IDF spokesman replied, "We received the rules and instructions for the approved agreement. We implement the agreement. You have to turn to the political level. We are not responsible for this, we apply the guidelines. We are working with the mediators Egypt and Qatar, they are the address for us to implement this agreement and so we will continue to press the mediators to continue."

Each abductee who returned gave details that were available to him

In conclusion, the IDF spokesman was asked if intelligence information was provided that helped the IDF, according to him, "Everyone who returned gave all the details that were available to them. We learn and use the information to complete the picture of the puzzle in order to know the situation of the abductees."
