Abductees were Held

The Abductees were Held in the North of the Gaza Strip While the IDF was Operating There

Tonight, 14 hostages held by Hamas were handed over to the IDF. According to Gazan sources, the abductees were held in the north of the Gaza Strip while the IDF was operating there, and thus Hamas wanted to show Israel and the residents of Gaza that it was not overpowered.

According to reports from Gaza, the handover of the abductees to the Red Cross took place in the center of Gaza City in the presence of the Gazan public and in a show of force by the operatives of the military wing of Hamas.

Hamas wants to show that it still has military control in Gaza City and it has not been overrun in the place where the main military activity of the IDF was in the Gaza Strip, and this is actually the purpose of broadcasting the video in Al Jazeera.

Sources close to Hamas also reported that the terrorist organization is ready to extend the arrangement for the release of the abductees by two to four days.
