Gantz Backs Haliva

Gantz on the Head of the Military Intelligence Directorate: "There is full backup, there will be time for an audit"

After it was published last night that Military Intelligence Directorate's head Aharon Haliva received accurate information about the future attack by Hamas and canceled it - Benny Gantz, who appointed him in the past, rushed to back him up.

After it was published last night (Saturday) that the head of the Military Intelligence Directorate, Aharon Haliva, was exposed to an operational plan of Hamas, in which the occupation of the settlements was described and he dismissed it, Benny Gantz wrote in his 'X' (former Twitter) account: "There will be time for investigations, now we are winning."

As I recall, former Defense Minister Benny Gantz approved the round of appointments at the IDF General Staff about two years ago, in which he appointed Major General Aharon Haliva as head of the intelligence division, and now, with the publication of the dimensions of the intelligence failure, he backs Haliva.

"The head of the Military Intelligence Directorate, as well as the Chief of Staff, the head of the Shin Bet, the head of the Mossad, and the other heads of the branches and their men - they are all busy managing the fighting and obtaining critical intelligence for the purposes of the war. He and his subordinates are critical to winning the war, and they, too, have full backing. There will be time for criticism, there will be time for investigations, now we are fighting and winning." Gantz wrote.
