Israel at war, the 48th day. Just before the ceasefire comes into effect, the IDF and the Shin Bet eliminated the commander of the naval force of Khan Yunis in the terrorist organization Hamas.

The IDF spokesman said this evening that "the IDF, guided by the intelligence of the sea arm, the intelligence wing and the Shin Bet, eliminated with fighter jets, Amer Abu Jallah, the commander of the Hamas naval force in Khan Yunis and another terrorist from the organization's naval force."

"Amer Abu Jallah was a senior in the naval force, and was involved from the beginning of the fighting in sending a number of naval attacks that were thwarted by our forces.

"Among other things, under the direction of the sea arm's intelligence ship, weapons warehouses, tunnel sites near the coast, training posts and observation posts of the terrorist organization Hamas were located and destroyed."

As a reminder, about a month ago the commander of the West Khan Yunis Battalion of Hamas was eliminated, so this is another blow to Hamas's ability in the Khan Yunis area, in the south of the Gaza Strip.
