Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir held a situation assessment this morning (Thursday) in preparation for the implementation of the ceasefire outline and the release of the terrorists in exchange for the hostages, with the Commissioner of Police, the Commissioner of the Prison Service, and other senior officials from the organizations.
At the end of the assessment of the situation, Minister Ben-Gvir instructed the Commissioner of the Prison Service, Chief Warden Katy Perry to completely prevent any attempt at celebrations by the terrorists in the prisons. Also, Minister Ben-Gvir instructed the Commissioner of Police to place an increased police presence in the centers where the terrorists are expected to arrive after their release and to take an iron hand against any manifestation of support for terrorism, and joyous celebrations.
In the words he delivered in his assessment of the situation, Ben-Gvir said: "You all know how much I objected, how much I think this plan is wrong and how it was forbidden to stop the IDF soldiers while they were fighting. I hope that with God's help, as the Prime Minister said, the war will continue even more fiercely. A decision was made that is contrary to my opinion, but when a decision is made - we are obliged to carry out the decision.
"My instructions are clear: no demonstrations of joy. We, at least in East Jerusalem, can manage the procedure in a hermetically sealed manner. Demonstrations of joy, their equation is backing terrorism, victory celebrations, support for those human scum, for those Nazis. The policy and directive is very clear, not to allow expressions of joy and resolutely strive for contact and stop any expression that supports these damned Nazis."
