49th day of the Swords of Iron War.

Today, the IDF released the 454th Brigade's summary of a month on the battlefield: over 13,000 shells were fired at Hamas and PIJ terror targets, hundreds of terrorists eliminated, and anti-tank missile launch squads were eliminated before firing on IDF forces.

The 454th Brigade, which coordinates the 252nd Division’s air and artillery fire, has been operating for a month in the area of the city of Gaza. The brigade provided fire support for division forces fighting in the Beit Hanoun and Jabaliya areas. It also deployed air power with fighter planes and additional aircraft and artillery, including 155mm guns and AccuLAR-122 launchers.

The IDF Spokesperson said that “fire was the cloud pillar [i.e., shield] for the maneuvering forces in the field, preventing efforts at anti-tank fire and sniping at our forces. The brigade was responsible for a number of significant operational successes and the elimination of many terrorists, from the air and on land, with the aid of air and artillery support, with close cooperation with the forces.”
