On the 48th day of the Swords of Iron War and on the eve of the ceasefire, it was released for publication today (Wednesday) that a Givati Brigade combat team raised a Hamas command post within a luxury neighborhood where Hamas leaders reside and seized the post of the Northern Brigade.

The soldiers raided the Northern Brigade command post of the Hamas terror organization, located in the Sheikh Zayed area in the northern Gaza Strip, a neighborhood where many Hamas leaders live. The neighborhood contains Hamas posts serving the Nukhba forces of the terror organization and are in the heart of the civilian population.

The forces conducted an armored raid on the outpost, locating a number of tunnel shafts, including one 50 meters deep and 7 meters wide. They also found a model IDF armored vehicle and a model of the Gaza border well. In addition, they located rocket launch positions, a lathe for producing rockets, and many pits meant for rocket launches.

The soldiers destroyed the outpost and killed dozens of terrorists in the area. Meanwhile, Givati soldiers discovered many weapons in a vehicle near a mosque which apparently served the terrorists during the October 7 Massacre.
