Ahead of tonight's vote on the deal for the release of abductees, the Prime Minister's Office formulated a procedure for the return of abductees, in order to prevent an incident like the one that happened after the release of the abductee Yocheved Lifshitz.
According to the report on the 'Walla' website, in the first step the abductee who returns to Israel will be handed over to the IDF and will undergo an initial assessment and examination by medical officials in a special setup established in the army in recent days in preparation for the reception of the captives.
In the second stage, each of the abductees will be transferred to one of 5 medical centers throughout the country - Sheba, Ichilov, Schneider, Beilinson and Soroka. There they will meet their families and receive medical treatment until they recover. Depending on the progress of their recovery, the security officials will determine the stage at which they will interrogate them.
In the third stage, the abductees will be handed over to the Ministry of Welfare, which will accompany the families closely until full rehabilitation in matters of health, mental health, occupation and financial assistance.
