Jabaliya Encircled, Terrorists and Infrastructures Eliminated

The Air Force also destroyed three tunnel shafts containing terrorists.

The IDF announced that the 162nd Division completed the encirclement of the city of Jabaliya and is prepared to continue the offensive. During the operation, terrorists were eliminated and infrastructures destroyed.

According to the IDF Spokesperson, artillery and air forces worked to prepare the area for ground fighting in the Jabaliya area. The forces attacked terror targets with the aid of fighter planes and remote controlled drones. Among these targets were three underground shafts at the edges of Jabaliya containing terrorists.

The IDF also said that the brigade combat teams of the 401st and Nachal fought battles with terrorists at the edges of Jabaliya, with the aid of tanks, and fire from remote-controlled drones. The soldiers also located and destroyed rocket launchers in the area.

Furthermore, forces of the 551st Brigade’s combat team worked with special forces north of Jabaliya in order to open the route to division forces and eliminate terror targets in the area. The soldiers eliminated terrorists with air support, seized enemy weapons in a number of locations, including residential homes and children’s rooms, and destroyed terror shafts.
