Israel-Gaza War, Abductees

Rothman in the Knesset Discussion: "I also have a Kidnapped Relative"

The Chairman of the Constitution Committee, MK Simcha Rothman, shared during a discussion in the committee that he too has a relative who is kidnapped, and that he knows that the release of the abductees is currently the top goal of all involved in the matter.

During a discussion that took place today (Monday) in the Constitution, Law and Justice Committee on the bill extending periods and postponing deadlines, the chair of the committee Simcha Rothman shared: "I also have a kidnapped relative."

Rothman also emphasized that the ultimate goal of the current war, contrary to some of the things leaked from the cabinet discussions, is the release of the abductees.

"The top goal of all of us is the return of all the abductees. I was listening to the radio this morning and I was very frustrated. A family member of an abductee is being interviewed who tells how hard it is for him, and the news flash right after him is one that will only make it harder for him.

"I know that the people who deal with the release of the abductees, give their all to this cause. We must not categorize this as a conflict, there is a debate about the how and not a debate about the what," Rothman emphasized.
