IDF forces arrested 16 wanted persons in Judea and Samaria during the night, including senior Hamas official Tarek Abdullah Ahmed Salem. Since the beginning of the war, 1,850 wanted persons have been arrested in the area, of which approximately 1,100 are Hamas operatives.

The IDF, Shin Bet and Border Police forces operated last night (Sunday) throughout Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley Division and arrested 16 wanted persons, including 2 Hamas operatives. According to the statement of the IDF spokesman, one of the detainees is a senior member of the terrorist organization, Tarek Abdullah Ahmed Salem, who was arrested in the village of Shawarwa.
It was also said that terrorists fired at the forces during an operation in Wadi Farah, and in an operation in Jericho it was reported that terrorists threw a stun grenade. In both cases it was said that the forces responded by firing and hits were detected.
In addition, during the night, terrorists fired at a number of Israeli vehicles near the A-Ziva Bridge in the Ephraim Division, with the IDF saying that gunshot hits were detected in several vehicles. A number of other vehicles were also damaged from improvised spikes placed on the road. No casualties were reported in the incident, and IDF forces began a chase of the terrorists.
According to the figures of the IDF spokesman, so far, since the beginning of the war, about 1,850 wanted persons have been arrested throughout the Judea and Samaria Division and the Jordan Valley Division. About 1,100 of them are associated with the terrorist organization Hamas.
