This morning (Sunday), Sgt. Binyamin Meir Airly, 21, from Beit Shemesh, a soldier in the 101st Battalion, Paratroopers Brigade, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. Hundreds of Beit Shemesh residents accompanied him to his final resting place, waving Israeli flags and braving pouring rain. The funeral took place at 16:00.
The Beit Shemesh Spokesperson’s office stated that: “The Hero of Israel, Binyamin Meir Airly ob”m to eternal resting place is accompanied by many hundreds of residents of the city of Beit Shemesh in pouring rain, singing in pain, waving Israeli flags and paying their last respects to a Hero of Israel on his last path to eternal rest. The residents of the city of Beit Shemesh are agonized and pained at the fall of the soldier, Hero of Israel, a fighter with the 101st Battalion of the Paratroop brigade in battle in the northern Gaza Strip during the Swords of Iron War. The story of his heroism is a model for the People of Israel.”

The names of four additional fallen soldiers were also released for publication earlier today:
Captian (res.) Roey Biber, 28, from Tzur Moshe, team commander in Yahalom unit, Combat Engineering corps, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.
First Sgt. (res.) Yakir Biton, 24, from Jerusalem, fighter in the 8717th Battalion, 261st Brigade, fell yesterday (Shabbat) in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.
Command Sgt.-Maj. (res.) Rani Tahan, 40 from Sdeh Nechemiah, deputy operations officer in 8717st Battalion, 261st Brigade, fell yesterday (Shabbat) in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.
Maj. (res.) Chen Yahalom, 35, from Kfar Azar, officer in 8159th Battalion of the Artillery Corps. Fell on November 18th.
The number of IDF fallen since October 7th thus rises to 383.
