Israel at war, the 41st day. Also at this time, forces of the Shaldag unit (the commando unit of the Air Force) and other forces led by the 36th Division, continue to operate in the area of the Shifa Hospital in Gaza, which the IDF besieged last week.

Shifa Hospital is the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip and it is a complex that consists of several buildings and wings. The IDF spokesman revealed in the video the takeover of one of the branches, where computers with photos of abductees - after the kidnapping - and weapons were found.

Now the forces continue to scan the building in the hope of discovering new findings. The forces move from building to building and scan floor by floor. All this, while there are still hundreds of patients and medical staff members there. The IDF says that the activity is conducted with discretion, patience and thoroughness, while carrying out an assessment of the situation in the field and an investigation that is conducted on the spot.

It should be noted that so far no medical staff member or IDF soldier has been injured in the activity.

The IDF's assessment is that the building is used as the headquarters of Hamas, and that it will take time to discover the terrorist infrastructure that is well placed in it. Already now, after scanning some of the buildings, weapons, intelligence materials, including information related to the events of 7/10, military technologies and equipment, headquarters and means of communication have been located - all belonging to Hamas.

As mentioned, in the scans so far, technological means were located, including computers on which information and documentation related to the abductees was found. The materials were transferred for inspection and investigation.

An IDF source tells: "It must be remembered that Hamas, from the moment the hospitals were exposed a few weeks ago, worked to hide terrorist infrastructures and hide evidence. It is a complex, continuous and developing activity which is led by a special unit. New information is constantly being discovered."
