Officials in the White House confirmed in a report to American media networks that hectic negotiations are taking place behind the scenes for the release of about 80 Israeli abductees, most of whom are apparently women, children and the elderly.
Officials in the White House and the Biden administration confirmed in a report to the American NBC network that negotiations are indeed underway for a significant exchange deal, which is expected to include the release of approximately 80 Israeli hostages, in exchange for the release of Palestinian women and boys held in Israel, apparently since the Gaza invasion on the seventh of October, or those held as a result of security crimes.
In the American reports, they confirmed the scale of the deal, but it was not revealed in the report how many Palestinians Israel would send back in return for the 80 abductees, whether there are additional conditions on the table, such as Hamas's constant demand to receive fuel and a ceasefire of several days in exchange for the release, and it is not clear whether this will meet resistance Israeli if such conditions arise in the negotiations.
Those around Biden do cool down the enthusiasm a bit and explained in a report to another network that Hamas is burdening the process with difficulties, and there is a chance that a deal will not come to fruition at all in the near future.
