A 65-year-old woman drowned this morning (Wednesday) at Ein Bokek beach in the Dead Sea, and was pulled from the water while unconscious. MDA medics and paramedics who were called to the scene performed CPR on her, but in the end had to pronounce her dead on the spot.

A senior medic at the MDA Majahad Al Amor said that "when we arrived at the scene, we saw the woman on the shoreline unconscious without a pulse and without breathing. We were told that they took her out of the water while she was unconscious and performed basic CPR. We continued the medical treatment, which included breathing, massages and medication, but in the end we unfortunately had to pronounce her dead."
