Knesset members who did not participate in the screening of the horrific film made by the IDF spokesperson from the videos of the terrible massacre in the Gaza Strip envelope settlements requested this morning (Wednesday) from the Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana a repeat screening. One of them is Knesset member Khatib-Yassin from the Ra'am party who denied the children's massacre.
Among the other Knesset members who requested to watch the film are the Arab MKs Ahmad Tibi from the Ta'al party and Ayman Odeh from the Hadash party.
Knesset member Iman Hativ Yasim caused a stir and significant anger in recent days after stating during an interview on the Knesset Channel that children were not killed and women were not raped during the Hamas massacre on October 7th. Following calls from members of her party to dismiss her, Yassin later issued an apology for her statements.
At the same time, members of the Likud party began the process of ousting MK Yassin from the Knesset of Israel. Justice Minister Yariv Levin wrote, "Already a few days ago, even before the statements of MK Khatib-Yassin, I instructed the legal professionals at the Ministry of Justice to draft a bill that would prohibit denying the massacre and impose severe penalties on those who do so."
