German Air Force Commander Ingo Gerhartz and his staff donated blood today (Tuesday) at Sheba Hospital during a visit to Israel.

Yesterday, the Israel Air Force reported that Gerhartz met with his Israeli counterpart, Maj.-Gen. Tomer Bar.

During his visit, Gerhartz received an operational survey of events from the Air Force Chief of Staff Brig.-Gen. Omer Tischler regarding the fighting and its goals. Tischler also explained Air Force actions, and especially support for the ground forces.

Gerhartz expressed support for the State of Israel in general, as well as the IDF and the Air Force, stressing that he trusts the Air Force and the precision of its strikes.

Since the beginning of the fighting in Gaza, Germany has given Israel its unconditional support. The German Chancellor, who visited Israel two weeks after the massacre, said: “My visit to Israel is a visit among friends. Germany stands strongly at Israel’s side.”
