The IDF spokesperson reveals that during the ground combat in the Gaza Strip, IDF soldiers identified various civilian facilities that were exploited by the terrorist organization Hamas for launching rockets.
During the operation to locate terrorist infrastructure and clear the combat team's area of responsibility, belonging to Division 460, IDF soldiers discovered rocket launch pits within the compound of a mosque and destroyed them.
Additionally, during a number of activities, over 50 ready-to-launch rockets were found by the soldiers within the premises of a youth movement in the northern Gaza Strip.
Earlier, the IDF spokesman stated that an Air Force fighter jet, guided by the the Shin Bet and the Military Intelligence, killed during the night (between Sunday and Monday) the terrorist Wail Asfa, the commander of the Deir al-Balah Battalion of the Hamas terrorist organization in the Central Camps Division.
Asfa, along with other commanders in the central camps, took part in sending Nakhba terrorists to Israeli territory in the murderous attack on October 7th, and planned more attacks for after the massacre.
