During a meeting of the Knesset State Control Committee chaired by MK Mickey Levy today (Monday), Levy removed Kohelet Forum members present during a discussion of Israel’s emergency food inventory.

After they left, Levy said “so long as I run this committee, the Kohelet Forum will not set foot here. Put it in the protocol: they have no place in the committee I run and in any future committee.”

The Kohelet Forum was an active partner in the law proposals regarding the legal reform advanced by Justice Minister Yariv Levin, which were at the center of the Israeli political agenda. The reforms led to fierce tension between political camps, reaching their peak in stormy protests throughout Israel against what protestors called a coup.
