Israel is in the 31st day of the war. The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza updates that the number of casualties in IDF attacks has risen to 10,022 since the beginning of the war.
It should be noted that the Health Ministry belongs to Hamas, so the number should be taken with caution. Some argue that the true number is much lower, and Hamas inflates the figures to pressure Israel for a ceasefire, while others claim that the casualty count is much higher (estimated at twice as much), and Hamas is obscuring the human toll suffered by Gaza residents as a result of the massacre that initiated the conflict.
The casualty count does not include Hamas terrorists killed on Israeli territory during the battles in the Gaza Strip envelope, estimated at around 1,000, along with hundreds, possibly even thousands, buried beneath the rubble of buildings that the IDF targeted in the past month as part of Operation Swords of Iron.
This morning, the IDF once again allowed Palestinians from Gaza to move southward in the humanitarian corridor towards the southern part of the Strip, where it has not yet been operating. At the same time, IDF forces continue to advance into the Strip, approaching Shifa Hospital, beneath which Hamas leadership, including Yahya Sinwar and other senior members, is believed to be located."
