Shooting Attack in Jerusalem; 2 Wounded, Terrorist Neutralized

Two Border Guards – a man and a woman – were wounded in a shooting attack near Herod’s Gate in Jerusalem. The woman is currently seriously injured.

Magen David Adom reported that “at 8:12, a report was received by MDA’s 101 dispatch center in the Jerusalem area, of two wounded from gunshots close to Herod’s Gate in Jerusalem. MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated two wounded to Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus, including a young woman 20 years of age in serious condition and a young man 20 years of age in light condition, with penetrating wounds in their bodies. The terrorist was neutralized and eliminated.”

MDA paramedic Nadav Tayeb said “when we came to the site, we saw a young woman in her 20s, unconscious, and a man about twenty years of age walking. We immediately began medical treatment and evacuated them to the hospital on Mount Scopus nearby with the young woman being in a mortal state and the young man light.”
