On the one-month anniversary of the massacre in the south, several memorial events will take place across the country. The President of the State and the bereaved families have requested the lighting of a memorial candle, ceremonies will be held in IDF units, and at the Chief Rabbinate.

One month after the heinous terrorist attack by Hamas, in which 1,400 Israelis were killed, several initiatives will take place, including the lighting of a memorial candle this evening (Sunday) at 18:00, at the request of the President of the State, Isaac Herzog, and the bereaved families.

A special version of the El Malei Rachamim prayer for the memory of the fallen

Additional initiatives to mark the 30th anniversary of the massacre will take place when the Tel Aviv Municipality lights up the municipality building in blue and white colors this evening (Sunday) at 7:00 p.m. Also, in many units in the IDF, and in other places, memorial ceremonies will be held on the occasion of 30 days since the outbreak of the war, in memory of the martyrs who fell on Shabbat Simchat Torah.

During the ceremonies, a special version of the "El Malei Rachamim" prayer, written in their memory, will be recited. The Chief Rabbinate Council will hold an event tomorrow (Monday) at 13:00 in the "Achar Kotlenu" hall in the Western Wall Tunnels, marking 30 days since the outbreak of the war.

The event will be attended by the chief rabbis, the rabbi of the Western Wall and representatives of the families of the murdered, abducted and missing. There will also be a special review on the topic of identifying the victims and their burial, and a prayer for the upliftment of the souls of the fallen and murdered.
