Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu addressed this morning (Wednesday) the loss of soldiers in the battles taking place in the Gaza Strip, saying, "We are in a tough war. This will be a long war. We have important achievements in it, but also painful losses."
He further stated, "We know - every one of our soldiers is a world in himself. The entire people of Israel embraces you, the families, from the depths of our hearts. All of us are with you in your heavy hour of grief. Our soldiers fell in a war that is justified, a war over our home. I promise you, citizens of Israel: we will complete the mission - we will continue until victory."
This morning, it was allowed to publish that nine soldiers were killed yesterday during battles in the Gaza Strip. Seven soldiers from the Givati Brigade were killed in the aftermath of an explosion in an armored personnel carrier (APC) they were traveling in. Four others were injured in the incident, and the process regarding their situation is ongoing. Additionally, two more soldiers from the Givati Brigade were injured yesterday. Two soldiers from Shiryon were killed by an antitank missile fired at the tank in which they were traveling. Two more soldiers from the 77th Battalion were also injured in the incident. This brings the total number of soldiers who have fallen in the war to 326.
