The 25th day of Operation Swords of Iron: Ground operations by the IDF in the Gaza Strip continue. IDF Spokesperson announced this morning (Wednesday) that since the beginning of the war, IDF forces have targeted more than 11,000 terrorist targets. Last night, IDF combined forces attacked numerous terrorist targets throughout the Gaza Strip, including operational headquarters and cells of Hamas terrorists.
During the battles yesterday, IDF fighters identified numerous Hamas terrorists who had taken refuge in a multi-story building in the Jabaliya area in the northern Gaza Strip. The building is located near a school, a medical center, and government offices. The fighters called in air forces that attacked the terrorists. Additionally, IDF forces identified a vehicle carrying anti-tank missiles heading towards the forces operating in the Gaza Strip. As a result, ground forces directed aircraft to fire at the vehicle, and a hit was confirmed.
Earlier, it was reported that during the night, IDF fighters also targeted terrorist targets in other areas by issuing threats from south of Eilat and from Lebanon. They eliminated the cell that fired the missile from Lebanon with no casualties to our forces.
IDF Spokesperson: "The Israel Air Defense fighters intercepted an aerial threat detected in the southern area of the Red Sea, south of Eilat. There was no perceived danger to civilians, and no breach of Israeli territory was identified. Additionally, the IDF downed a ground-to-air missile launched from Lebanese territory a short while ago. IDF aircraft retaliated against the source of the missile launch and the cell responsible for the firing."
