Gaza Rocket Lands in Ashdod, 4 Wounded

Police and bomb squad officers are searching for more debris. The wounded have been evacuated to the hospital, including one in serious condition.

Red color sirens were heard just now (Tuesday) in Ashdod and other settlements in the Lachish area, including Nir Galim, Gan Hadarom, Bnei Darom, Sdeh Uziyahu, Nitzan, and Beit Ezra.

The police have confirmed that their officers are working with bomb squad officers at the scene of a rocket hit in Ashdod, working to isolate it and searching for debris and other items to remove further danger to the public.

Magen David Adom medics and paramedics provided treatment to four wounded, including a fifty year old man with shrapnel in his body and three men aged 64, 46, and 35 with light injuries with wounds in their arms and legs from shattered glass. Seven vehicles were also reported to be on fire, with firefighters alerted to the scene to put out the flames.

The IDF Spokesperson confirmed that mortar fire has been identified towards the Arab al-Aramshe area, with a number of landings in open areas being reported. Casualties were not reported, and IDF forces responded to the source of the fire with artillery.
