Israel at War. In contrast to Bnei Akiva, who will celebrate 'Chodesh Irgun' in a condensed form, the national leadership of the Ezra Movement has decided to postpone 'Chodesh Irgun'.
In a message to the participants that was distributed yesterday, it was written, among other things, that: "The people of Israel are in the days of war. A war for the righteousness of our way, and for our life as Jews in the State of Israel. Simply put. These days, even though it seems to an outside observer that in many places in the country everything is back to normal, and even the branches are open and active - this is not exactly the reality. The people of Israel are still suffering. Our soldiers are fighting, our abductees are still in captivity and many residents are being evacuated from their homes." It should be noted that a significant part of the movement's management was also drafted into the reserves, including the movement's secretary general, Liran Gross, a resident of the city of Ashkelon.
It is also written that "Despite the strong desire to create a general routine (which is important for strengthening resilience), we feel an obligation not to continue as usual with the celebrations, and to cry out. There is no routine until an overwhelming victory and the goal that everyone returns home. During this period, we will act in a manner adapted to the different ages. In the tension between routine and resilience for "I am with him in trouble".
The management of the movement added: "This year, we feel that the energy of this tremendous celebration should be directed to other channels. Not painting a wall, but strengthening the home front and building our national resilience. For the benefit of these days, and those that will follow. The activities in the branches these days are enormous. Starting with food packages for soldiers through the adoption of families of fighters and babysitting for essential workers in places that are still closed."
"We will invest our time even more in accompanying the families of recruits, in providing answers and daily help to the heroic women who are at home. We will help with taking care of small children, strengthen the home front and pray and learn for the return of the abducted and for the overwhelming victory of the security forces, we will be there together with the evacuees of the Gaza Strip envelope and the north, we will build routine and resilience activities. We will continue to be a part of the various charities, and we will give our all and our energy to the new needs that arise at any time. We will give more and more support to our fellow farmers, from the picking and transportation stage to the establishment of local produce sales fairs."
The movement's management stated: "We decided to postpone 'Chodesh Irgun' until after the victory in Israel will, God willing, lead to the defeat of Israel's enemies, and instead to dedicate the month to strengthening national resilience. 'Chodesh Irgun' is an expression of celebration, of a significant educational process. These days we will direct the expression of the educational process to action and strengthening those who give and add strength to the people of Israel, and we will strengthen each other. We will strengthen connections, we will strengthen bravery, we will strengthen optimal communication, we will strengthen faith and Torah, not with slogans, and we will hold more activities. Of course we will wait for the celebrations when their time comes. And it will come."
