Today is the 24th day of the war. IDF spokesperson Brigadier General Daniel Hagari issued a statement to the media this morning, addressing all the fronts in which Israel is engaged in the war.
The spokesperson initially addressed the recent IDF operations in the Gaza Strip and stated, "In a combined effort, our soldiers eliminated dozens of terrorists last night. We are conducting a broad ground operation with infantry, tanks, and armored forces against terrorists who are gathering in assembly areas to attack us. We operate on the ground, identify the militants, and attack them. The fighting takes place inside the Gaza Strip, and we continuously assess the situation. The offensive activity will continue and intensify according to the stages of the war and its objectives."
Continuing, the spokesperson moved to the northern front and said, "Yesterday, in Syria, a combat aircraft targeted launchers from which rockets were fired at Israel. In Lebanon, aircraft attacked Hezbollah targets. We will continue to strike at the border. Any terrorist cell that Hezbollah sends to the border will be eliminated."
The issue of the abductees is not only an Israeli issue but a global issue
Another area where Israel is actively involved is in Judea and Samaria. The spokesperson also addressed this and said, "This morning, Israeli Air Force aircraft eliminated several armed terrorists who were in contact with our forces. We have also arrested about 700 Hamas operatives in Judea and Samaria since the beginning of the fighting. It is important for residents to adhere to the guidelines.
"On the home front, we continue to assess the situation even today. We need to allow a routine in the shadow of the war, from educational institutions to other services. So far we have informed the families of 312 IDF fallen soldiers, and 239 abductees."
"The ground activity in the Gaza Strip serves, among other things, the goal of bringing back the captives. This is not just an Israeli issue; it's a global issue. Women, children, Israelis, and people of other nationalities are held by a terrorist organization that has committed war crimes on an unprecedented scale. Therefore, in addition to the efforts of the IDF, the world also has a moral responsibility to ensure the well-being of the captives and bring them back home."
