Direct Hit to a Building in Netivot, No Casualties

Following rocket fire towards the city of Netivot, two impact sites were identified, with one of them directly hitting a residential building. Fortunately, there were no casualties at either site.

Red alert sirens were heard this morning in the city of Netivot and communities in the Gaza periphery due to heavy rocket fire from the Gaza Strip. According to reports, more than 20 rockets were fired towards the Netivot area. Two impact sites were identified in the area, with no casualties.

Rescue and firefighting teams that surveyed the city identified a direct hit on a shared building. Firefighters are conducting searches to locate any trapped individuals in all the apartments of the building and are disconnecting energy sources. Another impact site was found near a house wall. In both locations, there were no casualties, as mentioned.

Earlier, it was allowed to disclose that an IDF reservist soldier was killed yesterday as a result of a tank overturn during a journey in the northern part of the country. Additionally, two other IDF reservist soldiers were seriously injured, and another reservist soldier was moderately injured. The soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment at the hospital.

This morning, the IDF allowed the publication of the name of the deceased: Staff Sergeant (Res.) Yinon Fleishman, 31 years old, from Jerusalem, a Shiryon soldier in Battalion 71, Oz Brigade. The IDF states that the circumstances of the incident are under investigation.
