A gun, a flag of a terrorist organization, and a swastika were discovered this morning (Monday) by Jerusalem district police officers in a house in East Jerusalem. According to the police, the suspect in whose house the items were found was arrested in recent days following threats against an individual whose car had Israeli state symbols and border guard symbols affixed to its window.

Last week, a report of threats against an employee at a business in the city of Beit Shemesh was received by the police, and police officers from the local station were called to the scene. Initial investigation by the officers revealed that the suspect involved in the incident, who also worked at the location, approached the victim's vehicle. After noticing that Israeli state symbols and border guard stickers were affixed to the car window, the suspect allegedly threatened the victim harmed him and his property due to those stickers.

The suspect, a resident of At-Tur in East Jerusalem in his 30s, was arrested by the police and taken for interrogation, after which he was detained. His detention was extended by the court until October 31st. During the investigation carried out by Jerusalem district police officers, additional findings were gathered, including, among other things, documentation of the suspect in possession of firearms.

Last night, detectives from the Beit Shemesh police station in the Jerusalem district, along with additional forces from the Border Police and the Special Reconnaissance Unit, arrived at the suspect's house, where they conducted a search with a court-issued warrant. During the search, the police found a rifle and magazine, a flag associated with the Hamas terrorist organization, and an embroidered swastika. A close relative of the suspect was also arrested and taken in for questioning, and he will appear before a judge later today.
