Another targeted killing by the IDF in Gaza: An IDF spokesperson confirmed that fighter jets, with precise intelligence from AMAN and the Shin Bet, eliminated the deputy head of Hamas' intelligence division, Shadi Baroud, today (Thursday).
In the IDF, it was stated that Baroud, along with Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, planned the murderous attack that took place in Israel on October 7. The planning was carried out as part of his previous role as the head of the attack unit in Hamas' operations headquarters.
In the past, Baroud also served as a battalion commander in the Khan Yunis area and was involved in planning several attacks against Israeli civilians. Later, he held various roles in the military intelligence of Hamas and was responsible for the organization's information security. He also managed intelligence-related relationships for the organization.
Earlier today, the commander of the rocket launching system in northern Khan Yunis, Hasan al-Abdudllah, was assassinated. This is in addition to several targeted killings of terrorists within the terrorist organization and ongoing airstrikes by combat aircraft, targeting Hamas infrastructure, including launch sites and terror command centers.
