As mentioned, a 25-year-old Jewish shepherd was seriously injured today (Thursday) after being attacked by terrorists during an olive harvest. Another person at the scene was lightly injured. Rescue teams evacuated the seriously injured person to Shaare Zedek Hospital while he was unconscious with a head injury. The attackers fled in the direction of the village of Deir Jarar.
"The IDF ignored and decided to allow this terrible failure"
Eliyahu Ohayon, a resident of Kokhav Hashahar who was called to the scene, described the situation: "This is a very difficult incident. When I arrived at the scene, I saw two injured shepherds, one unconscious and convulsed."
According to him: "The terrorists who were holding clubs approached the shepherds under cover of an Arab harvest that took place near the intersection, suddenly emerged from among the olive trees and carried out a brutal lynching of the shepherds. These are dedicated shepherds, who live with their families on the nearby farm and guard the homeland's lands every day."
Ohayon added and recounted: "The warning was written in bright red on the wall. Throughout the recent period, the residents in the area repeatedly warned that the Arab olive harvest serves as cover for planning violent attacks against Jews, espionage, and intelligence gathering. However, the IDF ignored this and decided to allow this terrible failure. Today, we received its results in the form of precious Jews who were seriously injured."
