After several hours of silence, a barrage was fired this evening (Wednesday) into the center of the country, among other cities, Elad, Petah Tikva, Rishon LeZion and Holon. MDA teams went out to search scenes where falls were reported. As a result of the shooting, a residential building in Rishon LeZion was directly hit. As a result of the shooting, four people were slightly injured. In Rishon LeZion, a 48-year-old woman was injured in a minor condition and another man was hit by shrapnel.
In Petah Tikva, 2 people were lightly injured – a 13-year-old boy was wounded in the head by shrapnel, and a woman was injured on her way to a protected space.
The Fire and Rescue Spokesperson said: "Firefighters are working on a direct hit to a three-story residential building in the west of the city (Rishon Lezion), the teams are now entering the apartments to carry out scans to locate people who are trapped or victims."
The Israel Police urge the crowd of curious people who gather at the scene of the incident in Rishon LeZion to leave the place and go into their homes - the gathering makes it very difficult and interferes with handling the incident.
The police also reported that they are dealing with a rocket debris site in Petah Tikva, and as a result of the rocket falling, damage was caused to property, and two people were lightly injured. The police bomb disposal unit of the Central District, along with the Petah Tikva station officers, are currently dealing with the rocket debris site and scanning for any additional remnants to remove any further danger to the public.
