Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer will hold a diplomatic visit to Israel tomorrow (Wednesday) along with Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala. The visit will symbolize solidarity with the Israeli people and coordinate assistance for the upcoming European Union summit. They will meet with the President, the Prime Minister, and the family of an Austrian citizen who is being held captive.

During his meeting with the Israeli Ambassador, he stated, "We are steadfastly on Israel's side, and the Israeli population can rely on Austria. There is no justification for the cruel and barbaric terrorist attacks by Hamas on Israel, and we express this clear condemnation during our visit tomorrow."

The visit is part of a series of high-level diplomatic visits by heads of state and government from around the world. These have included the President of the United States, Joe Biden, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, the President of Cyprus, the Prime Minister of Italy, the President of France, and more.

President of Ukraine to world leaders: "visit Israel"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, at the beginning of the war, called on leaders from around the world to come and visit Israel, saying, "We are in our own war, and we understand what it's like to endure severe terrorist attacks." Zelensky remarked, "I remember the early days of Russia's war in Ukraine. It was a terrible tragedy with many casualties. It was very important that people did not feel alone."

"When there is a feeling of support, it helps the soldiers defend their land, their citizens, and their lives," Zelensky emphasized. "For this reason, my recommendation is that all world leaders come to visit Israel and show their support for the Israeli people. I'm not talking about institutions, but just to support all the people who have suffered from terrorist attacks, whose loved ones died in war. Unity is more important than anything else; that's what we've learned in recent years."
