Former Fire and Rescue Commissioner Dedi Simchi, who lost his son Guy in the battle at Kibbutz Re'im, has taken it upon himself to unite the right and the left in order to achieve victory and national resilience.

"Time to take responsibility and unite"

Yesterday (Monday) Simchi met with Noam Lenir, one of the leaders of the protest and they concluded: "Because at this fateful time unity and strengthening the home front in Israel are the supreme goals of all of us. The new shirts have the print "We are a nation of lions".

According to Simchi: "It's a time of unity, a time of victory. All of us together now, without symbols and different identities, unite around a common goal and remember that we are all Israelis. After the war, we'll demand that all our leaders take responsibility; now it's our time to take responsibility and unite."
