Violation of the Agreement
Chairman of the Sdot HaNegev Council: "The State Violated the Agreement"
During the discussion in the Finance Committee, Idan said, "We are not refugees, and we do not want to collect donations from donors, but unfortunately, that's what we are doing now. We have a country, and it needs to take care of us."

During the discussion held this morning in the Finance Committee regarding the government's preparedness for establishing a compensation plan following the war, Tamir Idan, the head of the Sdot Hanegev Regional Council, criticized the government and said, "The state violated the agreement with us."
"We woke up one morning with hundreds of casualties," Idan said. "If there is no economic solution, this land won't exist. And if that's not enough, we also learned that they are postponing the discussion about establishing the new settlement that is supposed to be built in the regional council. This is what a country in decline looks like, not a country that understands the Zionist importance of this region's flourishing."
Idan criticized the government for the division between settlements in the regional council located up to 7 kilometers from Gaza and those beyond 7 kilometers: "Any line that crosses within 7 kilometers and above is neither correct nor relevant, not before October 7th, and certainly not after it. This foolishness that the directorate, which stood up in order to help us, still uses this division intensifies the lack of familiarity with the area and does not allow us to rehabilitate our settlements."
Idan commented on the lack of budget on behalf of the state: "We are not refugees and we do not want to collect alms from donors but unfortunately, this is what we are doing now. We have a state and it should take care of us."
