Disgraceful: Michal Lobanov, the wife of Alex, who has been missing since the massacre at the party in Re'im, stated that she did not receive any proper response from the state authorities. According to her, they claimed that as long as he is missing, she is not entitled to assistance.
"Until your husband is defined as a casualty, there is nothing to talk about at all"
During a discussion in the Knesset's Labor and Welfare Committee yesterday (Sunday), in which she participated, Michal began her remarks by stating that they have not yet received any indication regarding Alex's fate. She said, "My husband, Alex Lobanov, 32 years old, has been missing since the massacre at the party in Re'im."
According to her, "He worked there as a bar manager, and to this day, we have no clue about his whereabouts or what happened to him. There is no indication that he has been kidnapped, he is not among the casualties, nothing at all."
Michal continued to describe in a choked voice and tears the unsatisfactory attitude she receives from the state authorities. According to her, she has not received any governmental response so far. She said, "To this day, no government entity has reached out to me or my family. It's important to mention that he has two disabled parents at home, and I have not received a genuine response from the state. We have a two-year-old child at home, and I'm five months pregnant, and I remained alone, and when I say alone, I mean all alone."
"And when I started reaching out to the authorities, what they told me is that as long as your husband is not defined as a casualty, there's nothing to talk about at all. As long as he's missing, you won't receive any assistance from the state, neither financial nor emotional, nothing at all. In a nutshell, they told me I'm left alone, and yes, I want to tell you that I am left all alone."
In conclusion, she tearfully pleaded for help, "I have a child and children to raise in this country. Believe me, no one wants to feel alone. So I ask of you, it's already hard for me to speak, it's been two weeks since I have slept, and neither has any of his family or relatives. I ask of you, help me and all the families of the missing and kidnapped, don't leave any of us alone. It's not what we deserve."
