President Isaac Herzog revealed today (Sunday) in an interview on the British network "Sky News" that Hamas militants planned to use cyanide against the civilian population.
During the conversation, Herzog revealed materials found on the bodies of Hamas terrorists, including instructions for the use of chemical warfare agents. These materials were intended to support the terrorist organization's lethal operations against innocent civilians.
Exact instructions for preparing a cyanide dispersal device
According to the President, a mobile device found on the body of a Hamas terrorist who was killed in Israeli territory contains instructions for creating chemical weapons and disseminating them among the civilian population. The document's source is a guide from the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda, dated 2003. Its use indicates both the connection between the organizations and Hamas's intention to use chemical weapons for mass destruction, similar to how ISIS had previously planned.
He further stated, "Among the contents are precise instructions for preparing a facility for the dispersal of cyanide. This constitutes solid evidence of the murderous intentions of the terrorist organization Hamas, which plans mass destruction without distinction of religion, race, or gender.
"The severing of infants' heads, a guide for hostage-taking, and instructions for using chemical substances for mass murder are patterns of murderous actions that testify to Hamas' attempt to emulate ISIS. The State of Israel will continue to act aggressively against the cruel attempts of the terrorist organization Hamas, based on its fundamental right to defend its sovereignty and the security of its citizens."
Herzog to Hamas supporters around the world: "Why do you support evil?"
The president added and said in the interview: "This is a substance found on the body of one of those sadistic terrorists. This is Al-Qaeda material, official material of Al-Qaeda. We are dealing with ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and Hamas – these are the faces of the organizations we are dealing with. And in this material, there were instructions on how to produce chemical weapons."
Herzog addressed those demonstrators expressing solidarity with Gaza and expressed outrage over their support for the terrorist organization. "What Israel experiences is pure evil that needs to be uprooted from the root. We witness people from around the world supporting this evil. We see them in protests in London and other places worldwide. Why do you support evil? What lies behind this? Do you truly believe that people should undergo suffering? Civilians, pregnant women, elderly people with dementia, people who have done only good?"
To conclude, the President said, "Let me tell you a story. The Israeli families on the Gaza border are the greatest supporters of peace with the Palestinians. They told me about a father who remained alone because while he went to defend his settlement, his wife and children were kidnapped to Gaza by terrorists, and he doesn't know where they are. This is just one example that illustrates the Israeli reality."
