The Government Coordinator in the Territories announced that, in accordance with an agreement between the United States and Israel, an additional shipment of aid shipments was delivered today from the northern part of the Sinai Peninsula to the southern part of the Gaza Strip through the Rafah Crossing.
In accordance with the instructions of the political echelon, basic humanitarian aid from the UN, containing water, food, and medical supplies only, was delivered today to the southern Gaza Strip through the Rafah Crossing in Egypt. All of the equipment was inspected by Israeli security personnel before entering Gaza.
This is in accordance with Israeli policy, in collaboration with the United States government, to facilitate the entry of basic assistance, including food, water, and essential medicines, to the southern Gaza Strip for the benefit of the civilians who have sought refuge there and may continue to do so.
According to the coordination between the government agencies in the territories, the delivery of assistance and its destination are monitored by Israel. Any attempt at alternative supply that is not coordinated and approved by Israel will be denied.
