Tourism Minister Haim Katz said, "The economic compensation allows covering living expenses for those who chose to stay with friends, family, or rent apartments independently, while also reserving hotel rooms for those who have no alternative. There is a shortage of accommodation rooms in Israel, and we are working to find solutions for everyone. I call on all hoteliers who haven't yet allocated rooms for the evacuees to join the national effort."
