Fifteen days after the Hamas terror attack on the communities surrounding the Gaza strip, IDF forces captured a Hamas terrorist within Israeli territory yesterday.
This is an individual from the Nakhba force, Hamas' elite unit, who had been hiding for two weeks in the fields surrounding the Gaza strip. In the area where he was captured, combat gear, uniforms and water were found, but no food. He was in a state of exhaustion and most likely made his way back to Gaza. He was picked up by the soldiers and transferred for Shin Bet interrogation, from which vital information for Hamas target strikes will be extracted.
In the meantime, the IDF continues to attack targets on the way to the ground entry. At the same time as attacking Hamas terrorists of all ranks from senior to junior - the IDF has been attacking possible sniper and anti-tank positions in the last day, and this is to facilitate the ground entry that should come in the near future.
The IDF spokesperson stated this morning in an address to the public that there was no fuel entry into the Gaza Strip, and that Hamas is losing its grip on the territory, in light of the strikes that have targeted both military and government objectives.
