Chaos in Central Command: hundreds of settlers physically blocked the transfer of an armored jeep to the PA’s security forces in Shchem, after receiving a report that the vehicle was freely making its way along Road 60.
With a few minutes’ warning, hundreds of residents rushed to the road and sat there, using their cars the continued movement of the armored vehicle being delivered by trailer. The first solders called up to the area at first refused to stop the armored car, but shortly afterwards it turned out that its transfer had not been coordinated with the defense establishment.
Due to heavy pressure and the ongoing blockade by the residents who refused to leave until the vehicle was impounded, the IDF arrested the Arabs taking away the armored vehicle. At the same time, other IDF soldiers got on the trailer and announced that it was now being taken to the Binyamin regional brigade.

The Fighting for Life Forum which led the residents’ struggle against terrorism in Judea and Samaria in recent months issued a response:
“What happened here this evening is inconceivable. Hours after a PA officer was taken out in Tulkarm after opening fire on IDF soldiers with his terrorist friends, the IDF is allowing the enemy to freely arm himself with bulletproof armored vehicles when it is clear to all that they will be at the forefront of the fighting opened against Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria.”
“There is no difference between the Nazis of Hamas and their friends at Fatah and the security bodies of the PA. Their declared aim is the destruction of Israel and the whole dispute is only on the timing. We felt the weapons handed out to the PLO terrorists at Oslo in the form of over a thousand killed. The weapons and tools of warfare now being transferred will cost us much more dearly. If the defense establishment does not wake up, we will block the danger with our bodies.”
