The war in Gaza: The fighters of the Givati Brigade Combat Team have been working hard for the past three weeks in Khan Yunis, expanding their operational grip and eliminating terrorists in face-to-face battles.
This week, during an attack by the Givati patrol fighters, the fighters encountered five terrorists who came out of a tunnel shaft and fired at the troops, the fighters attacked the terrorists and eliminated them at close range. Immediately after, the forces identified four more terrorists who came out of a nearby building, directed an Air Force aircraft that destroyed the building, and eliminated the terrorists.
In another attack during a raid by the forces on buildings in the Khan Yunis area, an explosive device was fired at them, as a result of which the fighters Staff Sergeant Nir Rafael Kananian and Staff Sergeant Birhanu Kassie were killed and five other fighters were wounded. A day later, the fighters of the Givati patrol in cooperation with the engineering battalion blew up the buildings where the charges were buried and the fighters fell.
