Hamas' Plan Unveiled

October 7 details unveiled: 120 terrorists were heading for Be'er Sheva but were redirected to border communities

Newly revealed documents show that 120 Nukhba terrorists were initially headed for Be'er Sheva on October 7, but after being intercepted by security forces, they redirected their attack to nearby border kibbutzim, leading to a far greater assault than originally planned.

Newly revealed information from an investigation into the October 7 attacks sheds light on the scale of the planned Hamas operation. According to a recording by Colonel Elad Shushan, the head of investigations at Kibbutz Nirim, 120 Nukhba terrorists were initially heading toward Be'er Sheva on that fateful day. The terrorists, however, never reached their target.

In a broadcast on Kan News, Col. Shushan detailed that Hamas had intended to send a large group of 120 militants to Be'er Sheva. However, the terrorists were intercepted and stopped by security forces on their way to the city. Instead of retreating to their original base in Khan Yunis, the attackers redirected their mission and targeted nearby communities in the Eshkol Regional Council. This shift in their strategy resulted in a far larger scale of attacks than initially planned. Rather than the 30 attackers per community that Hamas had originally intended, the terrorists surged into border kibbutzim in much greater numbers, leading to the devastating raids.

The newly released findings underscore the chaotic and intense nature of the assaults on October 7, revealing how quickly the situation escalated after the attackers’ original plans were disrupted. As more details emerge from the investigation, it becomes clear how Hamas adapted their strategy in response to the obstacles they encountered, ultimately leading to one of the most deadly and widespread attacks in Israel’s history.

Col. Shushan’s report adds a chilling layer to the events of October 7, showing how a large-scale operation, initially aimed at Be'er Sheva, was redirected to inflict even greater harm on Israel’s border communities. This revelation further underscores the scale of Hamas’ planned operations and the resilience of Israel’s security forces in halting their advance toward key locations.
