Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to fly to the United States today (Sunday), where he will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump. On the agenda: the tariffs placed on Israel, the efforts to return the hostages, Israel-Turkey relations, the Iranian threat, and the struggle before the International Criminal Court.

This is the second meeting between the two since Trump returned to the White House. Netanyahu is expected to spend the night between Monday and Tuesday at Blair House, the official guest house of the US president, and return to Israel on Tuesday – at the end of his short diplomatic visit.

It should be noted that due to Netanyahu's diplomatic trip, which is expected to last more than a week, Defense Minister Israel Katz's planned trip to the United States will be postponed at least until after the Passover holiday.

Netanyahu is expected to fly to the United States immediately after his diplomatic visit to Budapest with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, which took place over the past weekend. He proceeds straight to a quick visit to the United States for an urgent meeting with Trump.

To this end, the prime minister asked to postpone the days of his testimony during the week. In his request to the court, he detailed that the U.S. president had requested that the meeting take place as early as this coming Monday. The State Attorney's Office opposes the request.
