Following a public outcry against released hostage Liri Albag, who condemned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his failures on October 7th and was subject to a severe public backlash, Netanyahu spoke with Liri and her parents.
Here's the full statement:
"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke this evening with Liri Albag and her parents, Shira and Eli.
"During the conversation, the Prime Minister strengthened Liri, and expressed appreciation for her resilience and courage while in Hamas captivity. Liri thanked the Prime Minister for the moving conversation, for his brave decision to bring about her release and the release of hostages from captivity, and asked the Prime Minister to continue to bring everyone back.
"The Prime Minister sought to strengthen her in the face of the attacks she is experiencing in various media outlets these days. Additionally, the Prime Minister told her that Mrs. Netanyahu and he maintained regular contact with her family, that he is working to return all the hostages, and that he would be happy to meet soon with her and her fellow observers who returned from captivity."
