Liri Albag, a hostage released from Hamas captivity, responded tonight (Wednesday) to the threatening reactions against her following statements she made in an interview with Kan 11 where she blamed Prime Minister Netanyahu for responsibility in the failure.

In a post she uploaded to Instagram, Albag wrote, among other things: "I read the comments, read the threats I received, the curses. And I'm afraid. I'm not afraid of the comments themselves, I'm not afraid to meet one of the people who wrote such things to me. I'm afraid of what we've become."

Regarding the disgusting responses she received on social media, she responds in kind:

"Wishing someone to be in captivity??? I wouldn't wish that on my enemies. Mocking my weight??? Reminds me of those terrorists who laughed at me. Who made sure every day to remind me that I'm fat. Promising me death and revenge??? Wish that on Hamas and our enemies. Not on me. And all this why? Because I said the Prime Minister is responsible for the failure? It's not like I used political terms, because I don't understand politics!!!"

Everyone is guilty of the failure – especially Hamas!

Albag rejected claims that she only blamed Netanyahu: "And yes, all the security leadership (Shin Bet, military system leaders, intelligence...) are guilty, don't worry, I told them that in our meetings too!!!! And of course, first and foremost Hamas is responsible for the nightmare of the country. I don't forget this terrorist organization for a moment and I personally want to take revenge on it. Hamas is the enemy!!!!!!!!!"

Albag added that the division in Israel between right and left is even worse than our enemies. "This is not how we win."

She concluded her remarks with an address to all commenters: "To all those people who sent me despicable, heartless, inhumane comments. Spare yourselves - it's a shame this is what will be written about you on judgment day. It's better to use your time in prayers and actions for the peace of the country, the wellbeing of IDF soldiers and security forces, and the return of all hostages.

"It's better to direct this poison toward Hamas, Iran, Hezbollah, and hundreds of other enemies we have. As the Jewish people who have been attacked time after time, from Egypt until today, let's fight our enemies and not each other. You will never understand what we went through there. And I don't wish for you to understand! I wish for all of us health in body and spirit, happy lives, and success."
