Even as we fight for our lives – we save the lives of others
While battling on seven fronts and under missile fire, Israel sends a 22-member rescue team with advanced technology to Thailand, continuing to save lives worldwide despite our own struggles.

In the midst of war — with no fewer than seven active fronts — Israel chooses to extend a hand of hope across the world. Not for headlines, but because we deeply believe in the value of human life.
This week, while missiles rain down on our cities and our soldiers defend our borders, Israel dispatched a search and rescue team to Thailand, following the devastating earthquake that struck the region. At a time when we could understandably turn inward, we chose to step outward.
A delegation of 22 Israeli experts, including elite rescuers from the National Rescue Unit, landed in Thailand with one mission: to save lives. Alongside them, advanced Israeli technology — developed by Camero-Tech — is being used to locate signs of life beneath rubble, using breakthrough radar systems that see through walls and debris.
This is the real face of Israel. Not always the one portrayed in international headlines, but a nation that holds a weapon in one hand to defend its existence against those who seek its destruction, and extends the other to save lives — even on the far side of the globe.
As someone who leads Israel’s public diplomacy efforts, I say this with pride: Look at us. See who we truly are. Even as we fight for our own lives — we never forget the value of others’.
