Harvard/Harris poll: Overwhelming support for Israel in war with Hamas
A new Harvard/Harris poll shows continued overwhelming support among Americans of all political stripes for Israel in its war on Hamas, including the question of the "day after" the war.

A new Harvard/Harris poll conducted in March and published today (Tuesday) reveals widespread American support for Israel in its war against Hamas and other enemies, across the political spectrum and age groups.
Fully 77% of Americans support Israel against Hamas. Only the age group of 18-24 shows a close gap with just 52% supporting Israel. Furthermore, 80% of Americans support the idea that Hamas should release the hostages unconditionally or face serious consequences, with even those aged 18-24 supporting the idea 65-35%.
76% of Americans oppose Hamas continuing to rule the Gaza Strip, and 72% support the destruction of Iran's nuclear weapons facilities, though that majority declines to 59% when asked whether the United States should support Israel in an airstrike on those facilities, with Democrats in particular being almost evenly split, 51-49%.
When it comes to support or opposition to President Donald Trump's handling of the conflict thus far, most Republicans support it and most Democrats oppose it, with Independents opposing it by a small majority, 52-48%.
