Israel Katz to Gazans: This is the only way to stop the war

Defense Minister Israel Katz released a video statement today (Wednesday) warning the residents of Gaza that more intensive fighting in additional areas of the Gaza Strip are coming.

In the statement, Katz said that plans are "already approved" to expand intensive fighting in additional areas in the Gaza Strip, which will force civilians to move to other areas for their own safety, despite the inconvenience and the dangers involved.

Katz noted that Hamas' insistence on continuing to fight will lead to ordinary Gazans losing not only their homes, but also "more and more territory" which would be added to the Israeli defense perimeter inside the Gaza Strip, which includes the Philadelphi corridor, an area about one kilometer deep into the Strip, and half of the Netzarim corridor bisecting the Strip in two.

Katz then said that "Sinwar the First" - referring to deceased Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar - "destroyed Gaza" and that "Sinwar the Second" referring to his brother Mohammad, is willing to burn the Gaza Strip in order to maintain the "corrupt" regime of Hamas of his friends who hide in tunnels or fancy houses and who are worth billions.

Katz then addressed the burgeoning protests throughout the Gaza Strip, saying the only way to ensure peace in the Gaza Strip is to remove Hamas' power and to free all the Israeli hostages.
