Israel hits Hezbollah operative linked to Iran's Quds Force

The IDF Spokesperson, Shin Bet, and Mossad took responsibility a short time ago (Tuesday) for the overnight strike in Beirut’s Dahieh, during which a Hezbollah terrorist operating in collaboration with Iran was eliminated.

According to the statement issued by the three security agencies, fighter jets guided by the Shin Bet attacked overnight in the Dahieh area of Beirut, eliminating the terrorist Hassan Ali Mahmoud Badir, a member of Unit 3900 of the Hezbollah terror organization and Iran’s Quds Force.

The IDF, Shin Bet, and Mossad reported that the eliminated terrorist was planning attacks in the immediate term against Israeli civilians, in collaboration with Hamas and Iran.

"Hassan Badir had recently been operating in conjunction with Hamas, directing Hamas terrorists and assisting them in advancing a plan for a severe attack against Israeli civilians in the immediate term," the IDF and Shin Bet stated today.

The attack, planned for the near future, was intended to harm Israeli civilians, and therefore Hassan Badir was targeted immediately to neutralize the threat, security forces stated.

"These activities by the Hezbollah terror organization constitute a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and pose a threat to the State of Israel and its citizens.

The IDF, Shin Bet, and Mossad will continue to act to thwart any danger to the citizens of the State of Israel, whether within the country or beyond its borders," the statement concluded.
